Introducing CityCraft Workshop
CityCraft Workshop is an open-studio format class designed to allow students to work on self-selected projects (in progress or starting fresh) at their own pace with a CityCraft instructor on hand for project guidance and assistance. Similar to a group private lesson, the CityCraft Workshop is the perfect opportunity to try a pattern that may seem a bit intimidating or simply to work amongst your peers in a relaxed and social setting with access to CityCraft machines, sergers, cutting space, and the store open for mid-project purchases.
CityCraft Workshop is led by Virginia Jones, a lifelong seamstress who is skilled in advanced sewing techniques, including fitting and alterations, linings, and basic tailoring techniques. Her background includes construction of men's, women's, and children's clothing and home accessories. Virginia also specializes in customized design and sewing techniques for various applications such as fashion tote bags, aprons, and various home furnishing items including curtains, seat covers, pillows, duvet covers, and place mats incorporating quilting, piping, and tucking techniques.
Workshop is held bi-weekly and designed as a supplement to your at-home sewing time. (Workshop is not for beginners or students requiring step-by-step instruction. Instructors will divide attention between all students as equally as possible.) Feel free to bring your machines, any tools or supplies, and any food or beverages.
Workshop fee: $45
Time: 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm
June dates: Thursday, June 14th, and Thursday, June 28th
