Nani Iro Baby Quilt

It's safe to say I may never make a baby quilt with anything but double-gauze again. It's the softest, most delicious material to work with.

The new Nani Iro fabrics we just got into the shop have been begging me to work with them, and I was inspired by the beautiful baby quilts I discovered on Flickr from Insung Kim.

This is a simple, wholecloth quilt. I used the understated Pocho Gray for the front (1.5 yards) and the Kobayashi Double Gauze Solid in Slate for the back (1.5 yards) and the hand-sewn binding (1/3 yard). The blanket was quilted sparingly to keep it supple. Quilting and binding sewn with Aurifil thread.
