Thanks to Fiona's speedy sewing skills, the Arizona "Rising" quilt top is finished! The quilt uses (nearly) all of the fabrics from the Arizona collection by April Rhodes for Art Gallery Fabrics.
A few notes:
- Fabric F is ARZ-553. On the quilt pattern yardage list, it says that Fabric F is ARZ-550. (We emailed Art Gallery to let them know, but not sure if the pattern has been updated.)
- If you cut the Arid Horizon ARZ-557 (Fabric H) as it calls for in the pattern, you won't be able to get the quilt to look like it does in the picture. To achieve that, you would have to cut much more fabric. We altered the pattern and fussy cut the Arid Horizon print so that all of the lines would match up. This created an overall shorter quilt, and we had to take out the side triangle pieces. We LOVE how it turned out though. So if you want your quilt to look exactly like the original design, be prepared to buy more fabric.
We will post again soon when the quilt is completely assembled. Designing the back now!
