One of my best friends from college recently welcomed a sweet baby boy named George. I have a feeling this is the first of MANY projects I will be sewing for this precious peanut. This is a whole-cloth quilt, meaning I did absolutely no piecing at all - SWEET. The fabric is Robert Kaufman Kona Modern Quilts by Cynthia Frenette. We're putting the collection on our website today, but in the meantime you can check out the collection on the Robert Kaufman website. We have most of the prints. The quilting was a semi-disaster, but from far away still looks good. I tried to go around the circles using free-motion, but it's too hard to make the lines straight using free motion unless you're a goddess of free-motion. I am not. I would have been better off just using the walking foot and going slowly around. Lesson learned.
UPDATE: Fabrics used in this quilt can be found here. We are expecting 5 more prints from this collection shortly.
